This initiative fosters an inclusive vision &#8211; not an external interpretation &#8211; of capacity building needs.<\/p>\n                    <\/div>\n                \n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container-1440\">\n\t<div class=\"section-textriche\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"title-h2\">Define a collective capacity building and leadership strategy<\/h2>\n\t\t<p>Our objective: local stakeholders (in the broadest sense, from NGOs to local authorities, academic institutions and private organisations) must be able to make their own choices and to pilot adapted, local humanitarian responses.<\/p>\n<p>The Taking the Lead initiative has 3 steps, all associated with a methodology and tools: supporting local stakeholders in analysing their own context, self-evaluating their organisational capacities, and designing action plans to enhance their individual performance. Finally, conducting a collective assessment with an action plan to strengthen coordination and complementarity of action within a given geographical area.<\/p>\n<p>Hence,\u00a0Taking the Lead will allow local stakeholders to define a collective humanitarian and leadership capacity building strategy, and to ensure the optimal coverage of humanitarian needs within their area.\u00a0A test phase of this new approach has been piloted since 2019 in the Middle East, West Africa and East Africa, before being made available to the humanitarian sector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":45113,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[353],"class_list":["post-6257","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-share-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
