Dr Qasem Abdelal is a German Jordanian University (GJU) professor in Water and Environmental Engineering. Two years ago, he underwent a Bioforce Training of Trainer (ToT) course. Last month, Qasem was THE Bioforce trainer in a ToT session held in Amman for humanitarian staff. And here is how it all happened.

Fondateur, puis directeur pendant de longues années de l'ONG Handicap International, Jean-Baptiste Richardier est le parrain de la nouvelle promotion d'étudiants Bioforce. Grande figure de l'humanitaire français, fin connaisseur du Bioforce des débuts auquel il a contribué aux côtés de Charles Mérieux, il est venu témoigné d'une vie de plaidoyer et d'actions lundi 27 septembre lors de la cérémonie de rentrée officielle.

In Jordan since 2019, in Iraq since 2020 and in Lebanon since 2021, our 5-day open training courses have strengthened the skills of 78 actors already working with international or national organisations. They have come to acquire the tools and recognition for their professional development in the humanitarian sector. CAR : in 2020, supporting a Centrafrican NGO in its humanitarian response
Since 2018, it has been Bioforce’s mission in CAR to build the operational and coordination capacity of local organisations, and thereby address the needs of vulnerable populations more effectively. Bioforce continued its work in 2020 through the IRCAP project, a twin-track, innovative approach to build the capacity of a Central African national NGO while leading a high impact humanitarian operation for beneficiaries.
