context
Burkina Faso, one of the ten poorest countries in the world, has for many years been dealing with chronic problems of cholera, malaria and Aids. The situation in the country deteriorated further in 2018: civil conflict escalated and armed violence led to massive population displacement (780,000 displaced people in February 2020, including 56% homeless), while civilians were increasingly being targeted. Their needs are vast: 2.2 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance, while the number of organisations working here remains limited. With operations in the country since 2007, Bioforce develops the skills of organisations and institutions, mainly in the areas of public health.
